The Kohan Reflection Garden is a horticultural gem that provides a place for picnics, meditation, casual recreation, weddings, memorials, theatrical performances, birdwatching, photography and more. The Kohan design concept is that of a strolling garden where visitors can experience many different opportunities for contemplation and reflection. Because it commemorates the Japanese Canadian internment in New Denver, the Garden also represents historical and cultural significance to the Slocan Valley and beyond.

The Garden requires constant maintenance, upkeep and improvements. The Slocan Lake Garden Society manages and maintains the garden, and is 100% volunteer driven.

The Peony Fund was established to cover the costs associated with the ongoing maintenance of the Kohan Reflection Garden while also providing for the long-term sustainability of the Garden. Please consider making a donation today.
