LEAVE A LEGACY
Planned Giving is one way to donate and ensures long-term sustainability for the Kohan Reflection Garden. There are many options available to donors who wish to include the Garden in their estate plans.
• Gifts of cash
• A bequest gift made in a will
• A gift of a life insurance policy
• Designation of an RRSP
• Gifts of stocks and bonds
A charitable bequest can be a specific amount or a percentage of total possessions.
Anyone can leave a legacy to the Kohan Reflection Garden Endowment Fund and every gift, whatever the amount, will make a difference. Your gift will help ensure this community Garden remains a place of enjoyment, wonder, quiet, and reflection today and into the future.
Our endowment fund is held with the Vancouver Foundation. The interest generated each year from the fund will help to meet our operating costs while the capital invested will help secure the future sustainability of the Garden.
To donate online please, visit our Personalized Donation Page with the Vancouver Foundation.
If you prefer, a cheque can also be mailed. If you choose this option, please ensure your cheque is payable to Vancouver Foundation and be sure to reference the Kohan Reflection Garden Endowment Fund on the memo line. Mail your cheque to: Vancouver Foundation #200 -475 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 4M9.
We encourage you to talk to your family about your plans and seek professional estate planning and/or financial advice when making decisions about your gift to the Kohan Reflection Garden.
The Slocan Lake Garden Society stewards the Kohan Reflection Garden with a vision and values that encompass gardening as an art, community history and heritage, community building and environmental quality. The Garden hosts many international visitors, photographers, and artists. It is also a popular venue for concerts, art exhibits, weddings, and memorials.
