KOHAN REFLECTION GARDEN EVENTS
Since its creation in 1989 the Kohan Reflection Garden has become an integral part of life for the Village of New Denver and surrounding communities. Originally created to honour the Japanese Canadian citizens who were interned here during World War II, the Garden is open year-round for public enjoyment and available by reservation for larger public and private events including, but not limited to, weddings, birthdays, family gatherings, remembrance services, concerts, art and cultural events. Yoga classes and book readings also take place at the Garden.
This beautiful lakeside garden is located on the southern shores of New Denver and adjacent to Centennial Park. There is easy access and ample free parking.
Donation fees are in place for private events, and at this time all events are governed by COVID-19 rules and Provincial regulations and in accordance with the Village of New Denver bylaws. To review the current COVID-19 safety plan click here.
The suggested donation fee schedule for weddings is:
1–40 guests – $100.00
40–80 guests – $200.00
80–100 guests – $300.00
over 100 guests – $400.00
